2005 WSOP First Hand |
|
This is absolutely one of the most
exciting poker hands to watch of the
2005 WSOP. This is the very first hand
of the Main Event and involves Sammy
Farha and Oliver Hudson. Remember this
is a $10,000 buy in tournament. The
very first hand! It almost makes you
cringe. What an exciting hand. |

What I like most about Full Tilt
poker: Lots of
tournaments and satellites, Full
Tilt sent more players to The WSOP
2006 than any other site, easy to
find tournaments in the lobby, rake
is average, busy enough to always
find a good table, lots of new
players, pro players such as Phil
Ivey, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow and
others play at FTP regularly, decent
table options including 4 color
decks, multi-tabling is easy, great
graphics, MAC compatible. |

What I liked least
about Full Tilt Poker:
Game play is relatively
slow, Neteller and
FirePay are almost your
only deposit methods,
deposit bonus is slow to
clear but is about
average, avatars can be
annoying but you can
turn them off, Full Tilt
does a poor job of
screening their chat and
you can constantly get
spammed in the chat
window and it seems Full
Tilt attracts the
degenerates and has more
than their fair share of
them calling every
player at the table a
donkey. The support is below
average in response time
but better than some
other big rooms. |

Full
Tilt Poker is infamous
for sending players to
the WSOP. In 2007
expect to see plenty of
players
qualify online
at Full Tilt poker For
The WSOPC and also WPT
events. Full Tilt
Poker IS NOT holding
satellites for The WSOP
Main Event. They are
offering the choice of
either the WSOPC or a WPT
event to the winners.
Satellites start at as
little as $6 for super
satellites. When signing
up for Full Tilt use
bonus code
SOCAL
for an extra $600 deposit bonus.
The lobby at Full Tilt
is better than most
sites for finding
tournaments quickly and
effortlessly. |

Features and Games |

The
software is a nice
balance between a
cartoon and boring. A
very nice feature is
"put me here", allowing
you to choose exactly
where you want your seat
displayed in the window.
This makes multi-tabling
on a small monitor a
breeze (I can rotate the
tables so all my seats
are visible at once -
this way I can keep
track of which tables I
have cards at). They
also offer a "pot" sized
button for No Limit (and
Pot Limit I assume)
which makes correct bet
sizing much easier. It
runs fast, and even on
my clunker, I can play
three tables at once.
Full Tilt is also the
only medium sized or
bigger site that offers
Razz (lowball stud),
HORSE (Holdem,
Omaha,
Razz,
Stud, Stud High
Low) tournaments. |

Bonuses |

Full
Tilt is offering a 100% match
up to $600 bonus (and
have fairly frequent
reloads). It clears in
increments of $10 (100
points for $10, one
point per dollar in rake
for every pot you are
dealt cards in) which is
fairly standard. What is
nice is that tournament
play counts towards
clearing bonuses, and
that you can earn
partial points, so
there's no threshold to
worry about - EVERY
raked hand clears a
little bit of bonus. You
can deposit, claim the
bonus, and then withdraw
most of your money, so
you are not tying up
$600 for more than 2 or
3 days. The clearance
rate obviously varies
depending on how big the
pots are getting in your
games, but I was getting
about 40 points per
table hour at $1-2. |
